"This Master's programme focuses on three core areas of study: content management and content processing, knowledge systems, and content in organisations.
The programme approaches digital content and knowledge applications from an integrative perspective. It examines the management of content within and between 'intelligent' multimedia objects, together with human aspects such as individual and enterprise-wide requirements and functionality, usability, semantics and personalisation (Content Management and Content Processing).
The programme also focuses on the development of computer systems capable of representing and reasoning about a domain of interest, with a view to solving problems and giving advice, together with human aspects of the use of such systems, in terms of the elicitation, use and embedding of knowledge in an organisation (Knowledge Systems).
Finally, it explores both the developmental and use aspects of information flow and work organisation, as well as managing information entry, updates, storage and distribution within and between organisations (Content in Organisations).
Students actively participate in group activities, undertake projects, and take part in ongoing research, both fundamental and applied, within a stimulating environment. Graduates will be prepared either for further PhD studies or a research position in a company, or for positions in industry, such as Project Manager or Consultant."
